some pretty nice movies

was dying to watch movies last sat but none of my friends were available! its either no one is free or the movie i wanna watch doesnt suit them. what the heck! therefore, i stayed at home to catch movies that caught my eyes.

29th sat:


the tattooist
nice movie with a wide range of tattoo. a story whereby a tattooist stole an old tradition tattooing tool from a shop and the next moment he know, those who have him tattoo dies of a horrible crucifying curse. the tattoo on the girl's back is a little too extreme. a 3.5 stars movie.


fantastic four: rise of the silver surfer
by the time i wanted to catch this movie...its was long gone! lucky for me, am able to watch online. thou most of the reviews said it was kind of boring, i think that part 2 was good. i love the effects. overall, i rate it a 4 stars movie.


charlie wilson's war
was searching the net for war movies and this came up in the search. its based on a true story of a guy's journey to chase out the soviets from afghanistan. i like the part whereby they were shooting the lives of the people there and how they explain their livelihood to the english ppl. it was really heartfelt. will charlie be success in chasin out the soviets? catch the movie! 4.2 stars movie.

30th sunday:


evangelion 1.0: you are not alone
had been a loyal fan since my secondary sch days and when ive heard the movie was going to be out...so hyped up!. for those who hasnt watched the show, the movie could be really hard to understand. the movie uses storylines from the show and i wished it could be more original. and to anyone out there, the movie was out ages ago. juz that they change the title of the movie to make ppl think its was a new one. i feel so much cheated when i realise the starting of the show was exactly the same as the first episode. worst, the movie was 'to be continued' -.-' graphic was blurry still, the unforgettable storyline made me rmb the show once again. a 3 star movie.


sky of love
this was aired during the film festival so i thought i must catch it! after hearing the story from delene, i was like -.-''' rather ordinary story. story of a girl losing her hp and a mysterious guy picks it up. upon finding her hp in the library, the guy calls her. she then spents her entire summer talking to this stranger. out of the blue, they agreed to meet each other. on the first day of sch, she found out that the guy was that white hair gangster and hates him. soon, she finds herself in love with him but tragic strikes when they broke up aft losing her baby. never did she knew that the reason for the break up was bcos he contracted a fatal disease. catch the movie for the ending! a 4 stars movie.

31st mon:


step up 2 the streets
saw xr's blog and the song was freaking good la! the movie wasnt as good compared to the first sequel. but i love the dance move at the initial part of the show. the one whereby their use a trampoline? ha! cool! the best part was the song! a 3.8 stars movie.


step up
never did he thought that doin community service would be that interesting especially when dancing was involved. his passion against contemporary dancing started growing ever since he volunteer to be a dance substitute. watch the movie! a must watch! 3.9 stars movie.

the next day:


secret window
damn! was scrolling for secret sunshine when this came up -.-''' watch it cos i was too bored. a story of a writer being accused for plagiarism by a strange man, who then starts haunting him for justice. the twist at the end of the movie caught me by surprise. i still cant believe how the movie played me out! made me believe theres actually a mad man trying to kill the writer. and, the corn field is actually a graveyard! WHAT THE HELL! a 4 stars movie. bravo! oh? did i mention johnny deep was the male lead? hahaha~

the bucket list
in simple tense: two guys on the verge of death decided to go on a trip to enjoy their last few moments to its fullest. they listed down a list, 'the bucket list', of what they wanna do. both helped each other achieved something they never thought they could. sad ending but a very impactive movie. i love the quotes from the movie! a 4.1 stars movie.


grace is gone
when husband learns about the death of his wife, grace, his heart sank. he never felt so lost before. he then took his daughters to a trip to enchanted gardens. along the trip, his thoughts and most importantly, his daughters gave him the courage to pull himself together to break the news of their mother's death. a very close to the heart movie but the emotions didnt catch me. a 3.5 stars movie.


slam
was quietly seated when a bunch of sec sch ah beng/lians walked in and made a hell lots of noise. a boy who wishes to prove his skills against big basketball bullies from sch. forming a team of three with his best friend and his cousin, they join a 3v3 Adidas competition. watch movie for ending! due to the very poor camera shoots, im giving this movie a 2 star.

definitely maybe
went alone (it doesnt bother me) and was wondering why my lucky had to be so bad to have come across this ah lian who was talking aloud before during after the movie...manners? i wonder...was a really nice movie. why? this isnt ur typical i love you, u love me kinda romance movie. its was fresh, out of the box and interesting. someone commented that the story was too long. but i guess it was alright, who gives a damn if the movie is good? ha! aint going to say much but its a must watch! a 4.4 stars movie.

in a million years, i never would thought i'd buy a book...and i did! randoms! randoms! randoms!
